The Head of Directorate with his nine subordinate heads of department and his command center decides on the targeted deployment of personnel and the appropriate use of material resources within the framework of the security program of the Mönchengladbach district police authority.
The command and situation service
The Command and Situation Service ensures that the Mönchengladbach Police Headquarters is able to make decisions and provide leadership at all times. It is divided into the situation center and the control center.

- The officers of the District Service provide citizen-oriented police work in 29 districts at various locations, are the point of contact for the concerns of citizens in the district and maintain a police presence. The district service is spread across eight locations in the city (Rheydt, Alter Markt, Hardt, Giesenkirchen, Odenkirchen, Neuwerk, Wickrath and Rheindahlen).
The special police services
