Collision at the junction

(jd) A traffic accident occurred on Fiemerstraße at around 1.30 p.m. yesterday: a 34-year-old woman from Minden was driving her Audi on Röthekuhlenweg in the direction of Fiemerstraße. At the junction, she turned towards Löhne and crashed into the Audi of a 59-year-old man from Löhne who had the right of way. The latter was on Fiemerstraße and driving in the direction of Löhne. However, the 34-year-old did not fulfill her obligations as a party to the accident, but continued on her way. An attentive witness then drove behind the woman in his car and, after overtaking her, managed to get her to stop on Hagedorner Straße. The police officers called to the scene confiscated the Minden woman's driver's license and prohibited her from driving vehicles requiring a license. The damage to the two cars is in the five-figure range.
