The police council is the link between the police, the municipality and the population.

From 2015 to 2023, Mathis Wiesselmann headed the Mönchengladbach district police authority as Chief of Police. He retired in December last year. A decision on his successor has not yet been made. Mr. Guido Henn, criminal director, is currently in charge of the authority.
